Mission

Sales and negotiation skills are critical to every job in the business world, yet many of us find the process uncomfortable. To most people, the fear is in the approach. Why is it so intimidating to ask for something you believe is worthy? Why does the prospect of “no” seem like such a barrier?

Any person alive has experienced the fear of rejection–it’s fundamentally human! The truth is that encountering “no” is inevitable, but it’s also rarely the end. More often than not, it’s just the beginning. Great negotiators are made, not born. Sales and negotiation is an art. And like any art form, it requires mastery of skills, the courage to persist, and practice.

Furthermore, there is no one way to “be” as an effective salesperson. Each of us has existing qualities and strengths we can use to our advantage in persuading others to invest in our ideas, our products, and ourselves.

At Athena Advisory Group, our mission is to demystify what can be an intimidating skill, help you realize your natural talent, and give you confidence in your authentic presentation. With our guidance and training, you will be able to implement sales and negotiation skills in all aspects of your professional life.

Founder’s Story

During her career in management consulting and enterprise sales, Sanaz Falahatpisheh negotiated multi million-dollar deals with executives from world-leading companies across a number of industries.  Whether it was an intense contract negotiation, a sales pitch, or a difficult stakeholder conversation, she frequently noticed that she was the only woman in the room. This observation made her keenly aware of two things: first, that sales and negotiation skills are necessary and valuable for everyone, at every position, at every job; and second, that women rarely receive the type of leadership coaching they need to succeed in this arena.

Her mission is to bring her expertise to women at all levels and in all industries. Athena Advisory Group’s practicum is informed by her years of professional mentorship, and seeks to provide women with the critical know-how to reach their goals.
